The wigs and hats for Captain Scarlett and the Sheriff are nearly done! Scarlett needs a bit more cleaning and drying (the bobby pins are just to hold things in place while it dries) and a bit more dyeing, and Sheriff needs a bit more weathering on the wings and cel lines on the hat.

Sheriff actually has very defined spiked flips to her hair, but it’s hard to emulate that style on a normal wig—you need something extra thick. While I could have bought a second one and made wefts, I found that I actually prefer the more naturally tousled look that I managed to create with a single wig (though I’ll need to touch it up a bit, probably just when I get to Boston), especially next to the ridiculous over-the-topness of Captain Scarlett.

ANYWAY, I think I’m going to work a bit on the Sheriff’s coat and on Scarlett’s skirt. Or … possibly wait until Beth comes over after work to actually be productive. WE SHALL SEE.
