I drew from a photo of one of Allegra’s fantastic cosplays

I … okay I’m just not an artist by any means, so I’m sitting here like: “You made this with WHAT NOW?!” That is awesome, and you did such a great job :D (seriously, if that were mine, the entire page would be DRENCHED IN INK and I would be DRENCHED IN INK AND SOBBING) Thank you for letting me be the subject of such a crazy assignment!

Mom got me storage containers so I have place to put all of the fabric scraps I hoard (they’re mine I tell you). While I’d love to work on Aria, I know that I really shouldn’t until I’ve had the chance to sort through everything so that the only costumery that I have out is my current project. So cleaning I go!
In the process I decided to find a permanent place to store some of my old costumes, particularly Smuggler, Corsair, and Trish, since they aren’t in my active rotation. As I was transferring Smuggles to her new home, I really looked at the embroidery on the back of the cape for the first time in what is getting close to a year now. And it sort of occurred to me again: this is the costume I made. Not that I assisted on or did pieces of like with Izzy, but the first Allegra Seamstress Project. The first time I sat at a sewing machine and really made something.
So this post is a love poem to my first costume, and arguably the one I’ll look back on with the most fondness, because I really put myself through hell while already going through hell to finish this costume in time, and she turned out beautiful.
I look like I’m about to fuck someone up. Well damn.

YES! Sunday is our AC day—we’ll be in the costumes very briefly on Friday, but only long enough to enter the contest before we dash off and get into our DA costumes.
