Trish from Devil May Cry 4

Debuted and worn at PAX East 2012.
Trish was a costume that was, ultimately, a learning experience. On the one hand, I’m very proud of how my first corset turned out, how all those painstakingly hand-painted details turned out, and how the awkward “wait does that even exist in real life” details turned out. It all looks gorgeous! At the same time, I opted to cover my naturally olive skin with pink-based makeup to make myself look more like I could actually have blonde hair, something that I ultimately regret doing. Still, I’m glad that I did it once to prove to myself that I should always make a costume work for who I am and not attempt to change myself in any way to suit the costume. (you know, wigs and contacts aside) If I can’t do that, then it’s not a costume worth undertaking.
